We caught up with Leslie Cusanelli of the St. Louis interior design firm Milieu to learn more about her own home renovation and her thoughts on using color in the kitchen.
Like many open concept floor plans, Leslie’s living room, dining room and kitchen make up one large central living space. Her objective for the new kitchen was for a transitional feel overall.
Working with Louis Rybacki she selected traditional elements—glass knobs, a classic door style and countertop profile—to complement modern pulls and a textured bronze hood.
Framing views of the nearby park, Leslie established a perimeter in bright Arctic White cabinetry. For contrast and added visual interest on the kitchen’s island she sought a rich green. The custom color, Vogue Green, is from the Historic Color Collection by Sherwin Williams. She customized the island with decorative posts and decorative furniture base.
