Judges of St. Louis Homes & Lifestyles’ 2022 Kitchen of the Year contest cited charm and a playful spirit as virtues of the award-winning design by Andrea Liston Jones of Liston Design Build.
Their clients sought a larger kitchen with plenty of island seating for the family. Two cabinet colors were selected, setting the island apart from the perimeter: Agreeable Gray and Dark Azure. The moody blue stain of the island proves a chic complement to the kitchen’s vibrant focal point—an orange gas range from Bertazzoni.
“We love how the herringbone tile goes from counter to ceiling. The contrast between the dark base cabinets and light upper cabinets makes the room feel even larger.”
