Embarking on any collaboration with Mitchell Wall Architecture and Design and R.G. Ross Construction Co. promises several things. We know that the kitchens and baths envisioned will challenge us, both creatively and technically. We know that the resulting design will be held to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Our work on the Sinquefield residence–a modern home for a young family of four–did exactly that. And we’re proud to see it featured in the latest issue of Sophisticated Living magazine.
“Evoking the spirit of famed landscape architect Jens Jensen, who developed the “delayed-view” of a home’s approach, a visitor does not see their home immediately until turning into their winding drive.”
The story of Randy and Laura Sinquefield’s custom home details its streamlined design constructed with energy-efficiency in mind. The magazine feature follows their journey from California to Columbia, MO and the objectives that drove many of their construction and design decisions. As you flip through the digital issue, watch for our cabinets in the kitchen, master bath and the lower level kitchen adjacent to the indoor pool.
Behind Closed Doors…
“Tucked behind a pull-out cabinet in the sleek kitchen, for example, an oversized recycling container means it needs attention much less often.”
As always, working with the teams from Mitchell Wall and R.G. Ross makes for a professionally managed, well-planned process from start to finish, but enough can’t be said of the graciousness of Randy and Laura. The essence of this family was captured in the style and function of their new home and it was our pleasure to play a part in the creation of their kitchens and baths.
