We’ve tapped the experts at Crystal Cabinets for their thoughts on top kitchen design trends in 2023. From color to innovative construction concepts, they’ve assembled five design elements with serious staying power for the year ahead and beyond.
When it comes to painted finishes, green is the cabinet color of the moment. Crystal offers several shades within their range of standard painted finishes: Sea Glass, Parlor Green, Smoky Green and Dark Forest.
In addition, customers may request a custom color (Color Per Sample or CPS) to match any manufacturer—additional charges apply, contact your Beck/Allen designer for details.

Sea Glass painted finish was used on perimeter cabinets, Parlor Green on the island.
This unique finish is achieved when a white-wash with warm undertones is hand applied to wood, accentuating the natural character of red oak, quarter sawn or rift cut white oak.
New finishes available through Crystal include: Cerused Aged Cedar, Cerused Basalt, Cerused Greystone and Cerused Sand Dune.
After years of corbels and intricate carving, preferences have evolved where range hoods are concerned. They’ve become cleaner and more minimalist than ever. We sometimes opt for a plain box hood with the addition of a simple, dimensional design element, like a pencil mold or a contrasting material.
If you like the look of floating shelves, you may want to consider a more customized and versatile alternative—Crystal’s ladder shelving program. Choose from various configurations, different heights and widths, with a choice of metal and wood finish combinations. Get in touch with a member of our design team for details and ordering information.
Ladders are available in six finishes: Natural Aluminum, Stainless, Chalk, Onyx, Graphite and Gold.
Shelves may be specified in the same material/finish as the surrounding cabinetry, or ordered separately for a coordinating/contrasting material/finish.
A flat panel door style, or Slab Door, is ideal for anyone in pursuit of contemporary/modern aesthetic. Popular choices of the moment include textured melamine and matte materials.
