We’re honored to announce that our work on a kitchen done in partnership with St. Louis interior designer Tamsin Mascetti of the Tamsin Design Group has earned the Grand Prize in Crystal Cabinet Works’ annual Crystal Design Awards. The kitchen design was part of a custom home construction project which included R.E.A. Homes and Mitchell Wall Architecture and Design.
Starting with a foundation of bright white cabinetry (Crystal’s Frosty White painted finish), it was the mix of distinctive details that set this kitchen apart: an oversized island suited for a family of six, a custom butler’s pantry with glass fronts and backed with a metallic laminate, custom mantle-style hood, dramatic Ralph Lauren polished nickel pendants, hand-cut English tiles on the backsplash and the adjoining wet bar’s custom cabinetry featuring double elliptical mullion doors designed to complement the architectural beams above.
“Tamsin’s fashion-forward, creative approach to every space challenges us, allowing us to flex our own creative muscles when it comes to customization and what’s possible. This home called for the highest levels of construction and finish, making Crystal the obvious choice.”
Crystal Cabinet Works is one of the largest cabinetry manufacturers in the U.S. and has remained family-owned since its inception in 1947. Each year, the Crystal Design Awards give representative showrooms and designers a chance to compete for recognition in several categories for Grand Prize and Choice Awards. The master bath in this home (below) earned Beck and Mascetti a 2018 Crystal Choice Award in addition to their Grand Prize Kitchen Design Award.
Many thanks to Crystal Cabinet Works for honoring our work with this prestigious award!
