Recently named Platinum Winner in St. Louis Homes & Lifestyle’s Bath of the Year contest, this master bathroom and adjoining closet were designed following an extensive renovation of the home’s kitchen and breakfast room. Each phase of this project features the work of St. Louis interior design firm Fratt & Bush Home as well Mike Beck and Beck/Allen Cabinetry.
Guiding their design decisions was the clients’ wish for a calming, seaside-inspired sanctuary. Natural light pours in from a cleverly placed window above the bathroom’s floating vanity finished in Arctic White. And a choice of muted, watery blue mosaic tile underfoot echoes custom colored Shiloh cabinets in the nearby master closet (Sherwin Williams Niebla Azul).
While sea-inspired shades and stone reference decidely natural elements, Fratt & Bush infused the space with a hint of glamour, from the reflective sparkle from lighting and cabinet hardware to the refined mix of metals—polished nickel and warm brass.
