WET BAR DESIGN

Often the entertainment hub of the home, wet bar design incorporates beauty as well as function. Cabinetry designs can include decorative accents that echo the details of fine furniture while different cabinetry components and accessories can be combined to maximize storage and display space.

Open shelving and glass doors are ideal for the display of attractive glassware, as well as glass racks that suspend glassware beneath wall cabinetry. Designed with storage in mind, wet bars are not limited to solely space for glassware and bottles. Space is often allowed to accommodate small appliances such as wine coolers, refrigerators, and even televisions. Functional accessories that prove useful when entertaining include built-in towel bars, chopping blocks, wine racks, bottle holders and pull-out waste baskets. Door locks are also an option for wet bar cabinetry.

Regularly used by guests, it’s important that the wet bar is designed to impress, and homeowners have a wide variety of door styles, woods, stains and finish options from which to choose, in addition to decorative accents. Countertop surfaces, tile, hardware and even the sink and plumbing fixtures are selected with the rest of the home’s style in mind, and lighting mounted beneath wall cabinetry can better highlight these elements. Some wet bar designs are simply built along a single wall, others offer seating for several guests at an adjacent bar allowing for barstools—in clear view of a television for the ultimate luxury. Televisions can either be concealed behind mirrors or mounted on rollout trays or walls. View our entire portfolio of wet bar designs here.
